Three students who have returned from a trip to Mexico have been quarantined in a Bangkok hospital on Monday May 5 They suffer high fevers, doctors worry whether the swine influenza virus (H1N1). These 3 people were returning from a trip to Mexico as part of a university exchange program and were part of a group of 14 students and teachers. The Department of Public Health said that 11 others were medically followed.
The Thai government has increased its surveillance at the airport in Bangkok thanks to the installation of thermal scanner that detects the slightest fever passengers and staff submit a questionnaire to passengers affected countries by the virus, such as Mexico, the United States, Great Britain, Germany, France, China, South Korea and Spain, to assess the risk of contamination.
