The tribulations of a cashier Anna Sam
The back cover: Her name is Anna , she is twenty-eight years, a university degree in literature and eight years of experience behind fund supermarket. A little art
conducive to discussions, punctuated by automatic gestures ....
Anna might feel to be a robot if it had been the idea of telling her work, day after day.
She saw you checkout. You've been customers easy or pain in the ass, rich or poor, complexed consumption or posers. You confused with a green plant or you would have said hello, you have trampled the opening of the store or you have been accustomed nonchalant closures. Anna, you've dredged, despised, insulted. It nothing happens in the life of a cashier? Now, take your cart and follow up Anna's body.
My opinion: This book is rather surprising and it echoes some situations I knew as a seasonal in a supermarket. The book is divided into several short chapters that give very short and the pace of reading. The stories are linked together in a sometimes disjointed. The author applies to describe and analyze customer behavior and it just falls every time even if the limit with the cliche is narrowly avoided. The style is quite simple, the humor is cleaner and we don ' have no trouble putting ourselves in the place of cashiers. Too short or too long, it depends on personal taste but this book leaves me a mixed impression. Certainly, I shall look at the cashiers in different ways and this book aims to reflect a little bit about our attitude towards them. But I feel that the shape of the book is not good and does not fill my expectations. Only at the end of the book that we discover it is actually a collection of articles written by Anna Sam on his blog and here I think it not stick. This could be a novel type chick bed but I see a series of disjointed anecdotes.
To summarize: I am disappointed by this reading has still managed to make me smile at times. The form is not mature enough yet and it may sometimes appear disjointed.
