The state of emergency is lifted in Bangkok but concerns remain

The Thai government has lifted interim last Sunday a state of emergency in force since September 2 when serious violence between supporters and opponents of the government were held in Bangkok.
Here is what the interim Prime Minister, Somchai Wongsawat, told the press: "The level of violence has dropped and we believe that if we maintain a state of emergency, it will be harmful for the country. I am announcing the end of the state of emergency "
But the political crisis is not resolved to However, opponents of the government continue to demonstrate daily and still occupy the seat of government. They are asking the government to resign and hold new elections. They accuse the PPP (People's Power Party) which is the majority party in government, to be the "boot" the Prime Minister overthrown in a coup, Thaksin Shinawatra, now exiled in Britain.
Suspected opponents have only increased since Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat is acting other than the brother of Thaksin.
The two candidates for the post of Prime Minister is the Vice-President of People's Power Party, which is the current Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat and Acting Secretary General of PPP, Surapong Suebwonglee.
Parliament is formally summoned tomorrow Wednesday, September 17 to elect the new Prime Minister.
